JUNKPDX PICKUP GUIDE

Photos for a JunkPDX estimate: what to send.

Good photos help explain your pickup before the visit. Show the whole job and its access so a planning range reflects more than the closest item in the pile.

Visit JunkPDX

Start with a wide view of each pile

Take a photo from far enough back to show the edges of the pickup area. If everything will not fit in one picture, use several angles rather than cropping out part of the job. A wide view helps explain the amount and the relationship between larger pieces and loose items. For a multi-room cleanout, photograph each area and say which rooms are included. Keep unrelated belongings clearly separate when possible.

Add details for large or unusual items

Take individual photos of large furniture, appliances and anything you think may need different handling. For a sectional or furniture set, include all the pieces. Mention hidden weight or construction details that a photo cannot show. Describe construction debris or other materials separately from ordinary household clutter. A picture is helpful context, but the company still needs an accurate description of what the crew is being asked to remove.

Show access when it affects the job

Include useful views of stairs, tight passages or the route from the pile to the loading area. Tell the company the floor and where service vehicles can park. You do not need to move heavy items to take those photos. A clear access description helps the crew review loading work as well as volume. Keep private information such as access codes in your company booking details rather than in publicly shared images.

Explain anything the camera cannot show

Tell JunkPDX if there are more items behind the visible pile, boxes in a separate storage area or furniture not pictured. Mention whether the job is still growing and whether photos show the final scope. If you add more after sending pictures, update the company. A range based on the original photos is less useful when the requested pickup has changed substantially by the day of the visit.

Use the range for planning, then review the quote

Photos can help the company provide a planning range. They do not replace the final on-site estimate. The crew reviews the full pickup and confirms the price before work; you decide whether to approve removal. JunkPDX offers a free, no-obligation estimate, and approved haul-away can happen during the same visit, subject to the job and availability.
