JUNKPDX PICKUP GUIDE

Planning a move-out junk pickup with JunkPDX.

Moving day is easier when the items going to your next home are clearly separated from the items being removed. Here is what to tell JunkPDX before the crew arrives.

Separate the move from the removal

Make three groups: items moving with you, items someone else is collecting and items for junk removal. Keep packing boxes and important paperwork away from the removal pile. If a large item must stay in place, label it clearly and explain it during the walkthrough. The crew should not have to guess which couch is going to a new home and which one belongs in the pickup. Agree on shared household items with anyone else involved before including them.

Describe every pickup area

A move-out pickup may include furniture inside, bags in a garage and items left on a patio. List all the areas you want quoted and photograph the full piles. Say whether the items will still be in those places at the appointment or whether a moving crew is changing the layout first. If the job grows after you book, update the company. An estimate based on a few visible pieces will not describe a larger cleanout added on arrival.

Share the deadline and access plan

Tell JunkPDX when you need the pickup completed and what access is available. Check the actual booking calendar for windows before making the removal part of a tight moving schedule. For an apartment, arrange any relevant elevator or loading access with the building. Explain stairs and parking restrictions. A two-hour arrival window describes when the crew arrives, not how long every move-out cleanout takes.

Confirm the removal scope before work

Walk through the pickup with someone who knows what stays and what goes. JunkPDX offers a free, no-obligation on-site estimate and confirms the price before removal. You decide whether to approve the job. If you approve, haul-away can happen in the same visit, subject to the job and availability. Review any changes since your photos were sent so the agreed price covers the pickup you actually want.

Keep moving help and junk pickup clear

Tell the company if you also need help loading belongings that are staying with you. Moving labor and junk removal are different scopes, and a junk pickup should not silently become a full moving job. Confirm the appropriate service through JunkPDX before choosing a window. Use the company website for its current service information and scheduling. JunkAirportCodes explains the local brand and sends you to that official destination.
