JUNKPDX CLEANOUT GUIDE

Planning an office cleanout with JunkPDX.

Office pickups work best with a clear furniture list and a building access plan. Decide which items can leave before asking the company to review the cleanout.

Identify the furniture included

List desks, chairs, shelving and other pieces you want removed. Show the full work area in photos rather than a close-up of one desk. Include furniture in storage rooms or other floors if it is part of the same job. Tell the company whether the pieces are freestanding or still assembled in a larger configuration. The crew needs the complete scope to review the loading work and equipment, especially when a small office pickup becomes a multi-room cleanout.

Separate records and equipment that stay

Clear personal belongings and company records from furniture marked for removal. Decide which equipment belongs to the pickup and which is being relocated or retained. Agree on those decisions with the people responsible for the office before the visit. A junk-removal pickup does not establish a document-destruction or data-handling service. If you need a separate service for company records or devices, arrange that separately and make the removal list clear to the crew.

Coordinate the loading route

Check the building’s loading and access arrangements. Share the floor, elevator access, parking location and any relevant service-entry instructions. Tell the company if access depends on a building contact being present. Confirm those arrangements with the property before relying on them for an appointment. A two-hour arrival window describes when the crew arrives, not a reserved elevator or a guaranteed completion time for a full office.

Choose someone to approve the scope

Arrange for a person who knows the item list and can review the estimate to meet the crew. They should be able to confirm what stays, answer access questions and approve the agreed work. If different departments are involved, settle the list before the walkthrough. Tell the company about any change since the photos were sent. Accurate instructions reduce the chance of quoting selected desks when you intended a much larger removal.

Review the actual job before removal

JunkPDX confirms the price on-site before work. Review the furniture, loading route and total included scope, then decide whether to approve removal. The estimate is free and carries no obligation. Same-visit haul-away can follow approval, subject to the job and availability. For larger office projects, use the company website to discuss the full job and scheduling rather than assuming a small pickup window covers every room.
