SERVICE SCOPE

Garage cleanouts

A garage cleanout removes contents taking up usable space: household clutter, old furniture, boxes and other accepted items. The scope may be one corner, several piles or most of the garage. It is agreed around the actual contents. Useful tools, stored records and belongings you want to keep should be clearly distinguished during the walkthrough.

START WITH THE TASK

What this service covers

  • Removal and loading of accepted contents marked for disposal in the agreed area.
  • Haul-away of the approved mix of boxes, loose clutter and household items.
  • A partial cleanout when only selected piles or freestanding items are included.

What needs review first

Tell the company before scheduling

  • Freestanding shelving, workbenches and heavy equipment you want removed.
  • Blocked aisles, inaccessible items, steep driveways or limited loading space.
  • Paint, fuel, batteries, unidentified containers and any evidence of contamination.

Outside the standard scope

  • Chemical disposal, mold treatment, pest treatment or hazardous-material cleanup.
  • Dismantling attached structures, electrical work, renovation and organizing retained belongings.

How the work is agreed

  1. Set the removal boundary

Identify what goes, what stays and how far the cleanout extends. The company reviews materials and any contents hidden behind the visible piles.

  2. Walk through the complete job

Confirm access, accepted materials and the on-site price with the crew. Clarify shelves and workbenches separately instead of assuming they are part of clearing the contents.

  3. Clear the agreed contents

Approved items are carried out, loaded and hauled away. Review the area together so any remaining item can be checked against the original removal scope.

What can affect the price?

  • The volume and mix of contents being removed.
  • Heavy equipment, dense materials and approved handling requirements.
  • Access to the piles and the distance between the garage and loading area.

Photos can support an initial range. The final on-site estimate covers the actual items and access; approve the complete price before loading. A changed removal list requires a revised agreement.

Questions about garage cleanouts

Can I keep the tools and have only the clutter removed?

Yes, a partial cleanout can be reviewed. Use a clear keep-and-remove boundary and point out valuable tools during the walkthrough; the crew should not have to guess which belongings matter.

Does a garage cleanout include cleaning or painting the floor?

No. This service describes contents removal and haul-away. Floor washing, coatings, repairs and treatment of stains or contamination require a different scope or provider.
